The climate in this area is temperate, just like in Valpolicella, thanks to the Lessini mountain range and its closeness to Lake Garda. With an average annual rainfall of between 850 and 1000 mm, the winter months see the most concentration of precipitation.
The soils of Valpolicella Ripasso are composed of river deposits, moraines, and calcareous-dolomitic formations. This type of soil gives the vines good access to water at critical moments, such as the development phase or the ripening of the grapes.
