Unione dei Consorzi Vini DOC del Friuli Venezia Giulia

Born from the collective vision and passion of the region's top wine protection consortia, the Unione dei Consorzi Vini DOC del Friuli Venezia Giulia, affectionately abbreviated as UNI.DOC FVG, stands as a testament to the unity and shared aspirations of Friuli Venezia Giulia's wine community.

The journey began in 2012, when esteemed consortia such as Friuli Annia, Friuli Aquileia, Friuli Colli Orientali, Ramandolo, Friuli Grave, Friuli Isonzo, Colli Orientali dei Friuli Picolit and Friuli Latisana united under a shared banner. This unity was further solidified in 2020 with the inclusion of the Collio and Friuli Venezia Giulia Consortia, ensuring comprehensive representation from all the consortium regions. By 2022, this cohesive alliance evolved, adopting its present name, capturing the essence of unity and purpose that it represents.

With its two-fold mission, UNI.DOC FVG is:

1. A Promoter: Actively working to elevate the global stature of the region's wines, the union organizes and partakes in a plethora of initiatives. From grand wine-tasting events and collaborations with sector-specific magazines to fostering incoming partnerships and facilitating groupage for guides, every effort is directed at spotlighting the region's viticultural treasures.
2. A Guardian: Entrusted by ERSA FVG, the union assumes a pivotal role in integrated guided pest management. Diligently gathering and analyzing data on the primary vine plant diseases, they produce vital treatment bulletins, thereby bolstering the efforts of regional companies in ensuring the health and vitality of their vineyards.

At its core, the UNI.DOC FVG aspires to amplify Friuli Venezia Giulia's reputation as a bastion of quality wine production.
