The vineyards in this region enjoy a continental climate with large thermal oscillations that are favorable for the development of grapes. The average annual rainfall is around 407 mm, while the average annual temperature is 12.2°C, allowing the grapes to ripen optimally.
The soil in Cigales has a weak granular structure, varying from fine to medium, and has little organic matter. Rich in potassium and poor in phosphorus, the soil has a pH of 8.1. These soil characteristics contribute to the unique flavors and aromas of the wines produced in this region.
