Summer embraces the region with welcoming warmth as July and August temperatures reach an optimal 27–28°C. These peak months reward the vineyards with an impressive 12 hours of daily sunshine, providing abundant energy for grape development. Winter, in its turn, brings necessary dormancy, with January minimum temperatures settling at -2.7°C. Although these temperatures are cold, they do not reach the range needed to produce ice wine (for this wine, it is necessary to reach at least -7°C), allowing vines their essential rest period.
Regarding the time of raisin selection, the period between September and October is the peak time for making the berry selection. For late harvest, on the other hand, the perfect time is between late October and early November.
The region's rainfall is well aligned with the growing cycle. May and June serve as the primary precipitation months, delivering 70-80 mm of rain to support crucial vegetative growth. April maintains a drier profile, creating favourable conditions for early-season development. This thoughtful distribution of sun, rain, and moderate winter temperatures creates an ideal environment for cultivating varieties such as Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc.
Finally, humidity levels further enhance these growing conditions. Summer maintains a comfortable 59% humidity level in August, promoting healthy grape development while minimizing disease pressure. Winter, on the other hand, brings a protective 80% humidity, offering natural insulation during the dormant season.

In addition, there are plantations of other grapes, such as Grüner Veltliner or Furmint (although the latter is most common within Slovak Tokaj).
