Valsusa has an ideal temperate-cool microclimate for winemaking due to its protection from cold winds and dry summers.
The best soils for the vineyards in Valsusa are rocky and have variable slopes, and the terrace technique is widely used to position the vineyards better. For this purpose, dry stone walls are used to support the terraces.
