The Colline Novaresi DOC is part of the Piedmont region, like other renowned Italin apellations such as Barolo DOCG, and is located in a mountainous area north of Novara, at the foot of Monte Rosa. Encircling the Colline Novaresi DOC in Italy's Piedmont region are the esteemed DOCs of Boca, Ghemme, Sizzano, and Fara, each contributing to the area's rich tapestry of winemaking with their distinctive styles and varietals.The region lies between the Seccia and Ticino rivers. Here,  the Consorzio Valsesia as well as the Consorzio di Tutela Nebbioli Alto Piemonte are key to mantain the high quality standards of the wines produced within the region.

The climate of Colline Novaresi is moderate continental. The region constantly receives cold air currents from the mountains and warm air from the plain.

The vineyards of Colline Novaresi are located on hills formed by glacial and alluvial rocks. In addition, the soils contain silt, sand and clay in varying percentages and are mainly stony.
