about this subregion

Nestled in the heart of southern Italy, the Molise DOC is a viticultural gem that showcases the intimate relationship between nature and the vintner's art. A relatively less-explored wine region, Molise presents an environment where the gentle caress of the Adriatic Sea meets the rugged embrace of the Apennine Mountains. This unique topography, combined with a medley of microclimates, offers fertile grounds for viniculture.

The red wines of Molise are anchored by illustrious grape varieties such as the rich and structured Aglianico and the bold Montepulciano. These are joined by international favorites like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Nero, and the quintessential Italian Sangiovese, each contributing distinct nuances to the region's vinous tapestry.

On the white wine spectrum, Molise boasts a diversity that is both impressive and intriguing. The opulent Chardonnay, aromatic Sauvignon Blanc, and crisp Pinot Grigio share the limelight with Italian classics like Falanghina, Fiano, and Greco. The region’s white wines also celebrate the sweet aromatics of Moscato and Malvasia, alongside the versatility of Trebbiano.

Molise DOC is a testament to Italy's enduring winemaking legacy, where age-old traditions coexist with modern innovations. Each bottle encapsulates the essence of its environment, promising an unparalleled journey for the palate.
