Despite having a medium size at the production level, it is a very prolific region, as its climatic and soil conditions not only allow the production of white and rosé wines, which are the specialty of the region, but also still white, rosé and red wines of great quality.
In this region, the surrounding hills are key to the development of viticulture, as they act as a protective barrier against the westerly winds. The climate of the region is semi-oceanic, and seasonal temperature variations are pronounced.
The soils are mainly composed of tuff, a porous rock that provides good permeability to the soils of the region. Thanks to this component, the sparkling wines of the region often have a distinctive mineral touch, which makes them unique.
