Consorzio Vini di Romagna

Situated in the heart of Italy, the Emilia Romagna region boasts a rich tapestry of viticulture and winemaking traditions. At the forefront of safeguarding the traditions of two denominations of the region (Romagna DOC and Romagna Albana DOCG) stands the Consorzio Vini Romagna, a stalwart defender of both the interests of the producers and the prestigious reputation of wines from these appellations on the global stage.

The consortium not only acts as a guardian of authenticity but is also actively engaged in a range of initiatives to further the reach and recognition of Emilia Romagna wines. Two significant projects undertaken by the consortium are:

  • Consumers, specifically targeting adults, especially those aged between 21 and 45, through events like fairs, tastings, and other activities that also promote responsible alcohol consumption.

Goals: The project had different goals, such as:

  • Elevate the understanding of the European Union’s achievements in agricultural products and its stringent production standards.
  • Bolster awareness and appreciation of the EU’s quality schemes.
  • Enhance the market share of EU agricultural and food products, with a special focus on markets in developing countries with high growth potential.

Results: In general the project was very successful, due to the great amount of goals achieved, such as:

  • Development of informative promotional materials.
  • Hosting educational seminars with guided tasting sessions.
  • Participation in notable exhibitions, such as PROWEIN in Düsseldorf (2017-2018).
  1. Project OWSCU:
